Gaffney, South Carolina to Georgia

The beginning of another very hot and humid day in Gaffney, South Carolina
South Carolina Lake
You may notice that the water in this Georgia reservoir is very low - this is because Georgia is in a stage four drought.

Welcome to Georgia!

Mikael, here is a thought or two for the day and then a few more for a few of the days I've missed.

"In the hour of adversity, be not without hope, for crystal rain falls from black clouds."

"We can do anything we want, as long as we stick to it long enough." Helen Keller

"Remember, tomorrow is connected with today and what we do with today determines the tomorrow." Marvin J Ashton

"Fix your attention on your goals...and never look back on your earlier problems...Our energies should be focused not behind us but ahead of us..." Howard W Hunter

As we, and I say we assuming there are more of us out here than me, SIT and read through your experiences day after day, week after week, it gives a better realization of the fact that we know we will never be given more than we can handle... and there will always be those in worse situations than we are in. Often the trials we go thorugh in life seem so significant, and still it is difficult to make a change. You continue to put my life into perspective.. I know you are doing the same for many others. You will make a change in the lives of others!!! We are proud of your devotion and your determination. No matter what the outcome is, or how many miles your body is able to complete, you will never be a quitter, and your dream to make a change will still continue because you have the passion, and with that passion you have the power to make it all a reality!

WOW!!! What a powerful thought you received from CJ & Stacey!!!

I found this quote and thought it was great for you.

"Life is a 10 speed bike...most of us have gears we never use."

Mikael, you are I'm sure using all the gears you have available on your bicycle as well as your internal gears. You are definitely giving this bike ride all you have with great intensity. Keep it up. I am so very proud of you. Actually, I know I can't even begin to comprehend what you are facing each day, just know you are an example to many of us. We love you. Aunt JoJo
