Seattle to Portland...

The Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic (STP) is an annual one and two day supported bicycle ride from Seattle, Washington to Portland, Oregon. The STP is considered one of the 10 biggest recreational bicycle rides in the country, drawing riders from across the nation and from other countries. The ride is organized by the Cascade Bicycle Club and is approximately 204 miles long. For Mikael and David, this ride is being considered the "soft open" of the 12,000 mile ride, with the official start on July 16, 2007 at Aloha High School.

Mikael, along with David Luman, Derek Doman, and Robert Nichol rode the STP in one day - July 14, 2007. It was an amazing ride, for both the cyclists and their road crew. The simple experience of talking to fellow riders and sharing the stories of "why they ride" is one they will not forget.

Another fan, ready to buy a book!
Back in Portland - all done - and ready for the next leg! But - where is Derek? Oh, he finished hours earlier...whoops.
