Beginning the day with a beautiful sunrise was awesome - but the day also had lots of hills and steep climbs left the bikers spent. They ended the day at the base of the Rockies and will spend two days crossing the mountains.

Weekend reunion...

A lot of work to the top of that hill...
Hoping to get a bit of a start on the next leg, headed toward Denver, Mikael and Dave climbed from the bottom of Provo Canyon to Daniels Summit - the highest summit reached in this trip.

From Tremonton down to Salt Lake City!
Rolling into the crossroads of the West was great - and Mikael did an interview with the local news station,KTVX Channel 4 and then headed South a little further to meet up with family - including his wife and daughter!

Declo, Idaho to Tremonton, Utah
The 800 Meters crew crossed over the Idaho/Utah border today - but got caught in the middle of some heavy thunder and lightning showers. Luckily they have such a nice trailer to spend the time, staying safe and dry until the weather passed.

Madras, Oregon to Mt. Vernon, Oregon
The trip continues - and we get to see Trish, one of the 800 Meter mavens, using her people skills! The ride time for Friday was 8 hours, 8 minutes, and 13 seconds - for a total of 136.21 miles covered. And for all those math folks out there - they were averaging 16.4 miles per hour. Impressive any which way you slice it!
especially now that she's on the road with these boys!
I hope this rocking chair isn't currently on top of the 800 Meters trailer!
