Mikael,

Congratulations on your years of recovery and on your 12,000 mile journey! My boyfriend (Chris Myers!) and I saw your story on the news and were instantly touched by what we saw. A recovering alcoholic and approaching three years of sobriety myself, I never thought addiction would happen to me either. Just like you, I had everything going for me in high school - I was Student Body President, a member of the dance team, and Homecoming Princess. We are living proof that addiction does not discriminate; it can touch anyone, anytime. I commend you on your efforts to increase awareness about addiction and I wish you the best on your journey!

You've come a long way. This journey will take you many places and far from home, but always remember those of us back here in oregon that you have inspired. Ride safe, we love you!!

MIKAEL!!!

I hope that your story of overcoming addiction will inspire all who hear it.

As your younger cousin I remember looking up to you as a kid... now I look up to you and respect you as your journey through life continues and you lift others up through your example.

Keep riding and keep sharing your story with everyone! I'm proud of you.

Your Cuz, C.J.

P.S.- Are either of those girls on your crew single?...they are HOT!!!

It was so good to talk to you today. I hope Mikael's knee is doing better. We just want to let you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. We are trying to spread the word about your cause. If there is anything else we can do, please let us know.
Oh-Bruce said that he is asking Dave to speak in Sacrament Meeting next week-they can do it via closed circuit. Also, I think he wants to rub it in that fall ball starts in three weeks!!
Talk to you soon. Love, Jan and Bruce
